About our name
To unpack a shipment is to open it and check what is inside. We read trade news the same way. Behind every headline price sits a harvest, a contract, a port and a policy decision, and our stories follow each of them.
Vision
We want Unpacked to be the first place buyers, growers and analysts check when a commodity market moves, with stories that:
- Trace a price change back to the harvest, policy or trade route behind it.
- Report on the Africa-Asia corridor, where Hectar sources oilseeds, pulses, grains and tree nuts.
- Turn trade data into charts and trackers a reader can use the same day.
Our values
